Aussie Land

Hey, it's me and Dad at the Cracker Barrel last week!
You don't know it, but it's 9PM here. I'm in Australia! Better known to my friends and I as Aussie Land. I made it safe and sound, but alas my luggage and GEAR did not. Quite the story really. You see, when working abroad one must have a fancy little slip of paper called a carne. It must have all the serial numbers of every piece of equipment you wish to bring into the country, and it MUST, be signed BEFORE you leave the U.S. Have I used enough CAPS? However, it seems that the U.S. operates on a 8AM-4PM policy. SO, if you were to, let's say, leave the country at 10:35PM on the west coast, your chances of finding an on duty customs agent are about zero percent. Apparently anything goes after 10PM. I'll remember that the next time I'm smuggling drugs. Seriously. They don't check anything at night.
Well, we found someone to sign our paper illegally, we rushed to the gate, they walked us through security, held the plane for us, and practically applauded when we finally boarded. haha. But our GEAR (and luggage) didn't make it out last night. It is supposedly on a plane right now. I don't care about clothes so much, but it's really hard to shoot interviews without batteries and tapes. giggle. Good Morning to everyone, I'll write more soon. I'll also be doing a little back blogging to fill you in on the summer's shoots.
Cheers!!!
